What You’ll Do

  • Work independently or collaborating with software, design & system engineers to establish the requirements for the hardware development projects. This could include autopilot, propulsion system, battery charging circuits, battery management systems (BMS) and radio communications.

  • Circuit designing and developing of compact PCBs for UAVs.

  • Identifying the best suitable components and BOM creation. 

  • Program embedded (C/C++) applications and device drivers (USB, I2C,UART CAN, SPI, ADC) for ARM core processors running small footprint, Linux-based operating systems.

  • Generation and verification of schematics

  • Testing hardware prototypes, interpreting, and analyzing performance data.

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware issues and suggesting suitable resolutions.

  • Documentation of all the design, development and testing activities

Who You are

  • Experienced & passionate person  with 3+ years of experience with embedded hardware design.

  • Having good experience of PCB types, design and fabrication process at prototype level and mass production level

  • Having good knowledge of design for EMI / EMC considerations, compliances, manufacturability and test-ability

  • Having knowledge of various hardware components and its packages 

  • Having understanding of Grounding, Bonding & shielding considerations in high-speed, high-power and high RF PCB design

  • Having strong background with through hole, SMT, and BGA technologies using dual-sided assemblies, and multilayer boards

  • Familiar with hardware interfaces such as USB, I2C, CAN, UART, Serial, & SPI

  • Knowledge of C++, MATLAB, and/or Simulink

  • Experience having implemented digital filters (ex. EKF, FIR, FFT and/or IIR) preferred.

  • Experience with Altium Designer is a big plus.

  • Experience with ARM/ARM/8051/Microcontrollers

  • Demonstrated ability to crimp, bolt, and solder intricate connectors to secure components in place

  • Knowledge of IPC-2221/2222/7351

  • Good logical thinking is required.

  • Candidates with UAV, robotics development experience and/or hobby drone experience will be preferred.
